Support superiors or designated representatives in ensuring that all company’s related port communities are informed of HSE requirements when operating within company’s areas of PIC/PRPC. Promote workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement in HSE standards in accordance with the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994, and PRPC requirements and regulations.
Design, implement and monitor HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Compile HSE performance reports, generate statistical reports, monitor reporting progress, ensure deadlines are met, and present findings to management.
Assist in the creation, review, and updating of HSE policies, procedures, SOPs, work instructions and guidelines. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and promote adherence to company and industry HSE requirements.
Conduct incident and near-miss analyses to identify trends, recommend preventive actions and prepare reports. Develop mitigation plans and monitor the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
Develop and deliver HSE training programmes for employees and contractors. Promote a safety-first culture through awareness campaigns, programmes, and workshops.
Conduct and participate in audits, inspections and reviews to ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, including activities related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification requirements.
Act as a liaison between the HSE department, management and field staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE best practices into operations and ensure effective communication of HSE expectations and responsibilities.
Lead team resources in executing data tracking and analysis activities, ensuring effective liaison and consultation with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure departmental activities comply with all legal and statutory requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned by the HSE Executive, Senior Executive, Head of QHSSE, or company’s management in line with organisational objectives.
Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Engineering, Science, or any related discipline. Candidates with relevant certificates and experience may also be considered.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental Management, or related fields.
Knowledge of applicable HSE legislation and regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Environmental Quality Act (EQA).
Experience in conducting HSE inspections, audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
Familiarity with ISO Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001) and related compliance requirements.
Experience in preparing HSE reports, performance statistics, KPI monitoring, and data analysis.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees, contractors, management, and external stakeholders.
Ability to conduct HSE training, awareness programmes, and safety campaigns effectively.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
