Job summary

PHONGSAVANH GROUP (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to drive the company-wide digital transformation from paper to a fully integrated ERP/HRMS framework.

You will write foundational SOPs, shape compensation and headcount strategies, oversee payroll, and manage the complete employee lifecycle with a focus on operational excellence. The role requires leading HR operations, policy design, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding while ensuring strict

Responsibilities

• Daily HR operations & general administration
• Manage day-to-day time-off requests, unpaid leave, and approval workflows
• Maintain the central employee database by updating profiles and employment status changes
• Process employee wellness data and routine medical claims within benefit limits
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, handling disputes and disciplinary actions
• Organize employee engagement initiatives, town halls and teambuilding activities to maintain morale
• Manage the full offboarding process, exit interviews and asset recovery with IT and Administration
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations
• Lead migration of HR documentation, forms and workflows from paper to digital environment
• Collaborate with IT/Development to build and launch a central master HR database and ERP system
• Oversee rollout and improvement of core HR modules: Leave, KPI/Performance, Payroll, Recruitment, Medical Records
• Design and implement SOPs for HR functions, starting with talent acquisition and integration
• Establish legally compliant HR policies aligned with modernization goals
• Train department heads on new digital workflows for adoption and compliance
• Partner with Finance to build a strategic headcount plan aligned with budget
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle with objective screening and onboarding
• Execute day-one onboarding with verification of IDs, contracts and banking documents
• Formulate compensation and payroll strategies and oversee end-to-end payroll
• Manage employee benefits and medical claims based on levels
