Job summary

MERISON (M) SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Team Leader to manage end-to-end recruitment, payroll, attendance and staff records. You will address employee relations, training coordination including HRD Corp matters, foreign worker documentation, permits and accommodation, and liaise with government authorities.

This role requires ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws, preparing HR and manpower reports, and supporting day-to-day HR activities across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding.
• Handle payroll processing, attendance, leave and employee records.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters and staff grievances.
• Coordinate training programmes and HRD Corp-related matters.
• Handle foreign worker matters, including documentation, permits, accommodation and related requirements.
• Liaise with government authorities and external agencies on HR-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable Malaysian employment laws.
• Prepare HR reports, manpower reports and other HR-related documents for management.
• Support employee engagement, retention and HR improvement initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day HR support and administrative assistance to employees and management.
• Perform any other HR-related duties and projects assigned by management.
