Job summary

MARIBUMI SDN BHD is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of human resources activities in Sabah, Malaysia. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance with labour laws and internal policies.

The role requires 5+ years in HR management, a bachelor’s degree in HRM or related field, and strong leadership and communication skills. You will drive HR process improvements and collaborate with management to support business

Qualifications

• Candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in HRM/related field with hands-on HR experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in administrative or HR management roles.
• Solid knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the overall Human Resource functions and activities of the company.
• Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, procedures, and systems.
• Manage full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, resignations, termination.
• Plan manpower needs and coordinate recruitment activities.
• Oversee payroll, attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, and benefits with related departments.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, performance, and policy compliance.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, counselling, and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate performance management and appraisals.
• Identify training needs and develop development programmes.
• Monitor welfare, engagement, and workplace matters; liaise with authorities on HR issues.
• Provide HR reports, analysis, and recommendations to Management.
