Job summary

Unisteel Technology (M) Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced HR leader to build a service-oriented HR function across the employee lifecycle. You will lead HR services/operations, digitisation efforts and data governance to deliver compliant, timely HR support. This role partners with Finance and regional HR to harmonise C&B processes.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in HR services/operations leadership, hands-on Workday and payroll governance, and experience in manufacturing or multi-site settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
• 8-10 years relevant experience including 3 years in HR services/ HR operations leadership.
• Hands-on HRIS/Workday, HR data, payroll and C&B governance and process digitisation exposure.
• Manufacturing or multi-site environment and transformation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end HR service delivery across employee lifecycle, employee/manager enquiries and HR administration.
• Establish service catalogue, SLAs, escalation routes, knowledge base and service measures; drive timely closure and root-cause improvement.
• Build a service mindset in the team: responsive, practical, accurate and easy for employees to use.
• Oversee payroll controls, statutory requirements, benefits administration, payroll data quality and issue resolution.
• Drive payroll/C&B integration, harmonisation and automation with Finance and relevant stakeholders.

Job description

Build a service-oriented HR function with clear service standards, responsive support and a consistent employee-manager experience.

Ensure accurate, compliant and timely HR services across employee lifecycle, Workday/data, payroll and C&B.

Lead HR digitisation, self-service and process simplification to move company from manual administration to a professional service model.

Improve productivity through service levels, data visibility, knowledge management and continuous improvement.

HR Service Delivery & Employee Experience

Own end-to-end HR service delivery across employee lifecycle, employee/manager enquiries and HR administration.

Establish service catalogue, SLAs, escalation routes, knowledge base and service measures; drive timely closure and root-cause improvement.

Build a service mindset in the team: responsive, practical, accurate and easy for employees to use.

HR Operations, Digital & Data

Own local Workday administration, HR master-data governance, reporting and digital workflow readiness.

Lead master data quality, testing, SOP redesign, self-service enablement and paper-to-digital conversion.

Ensure HR records, controls and reporting are aligned with company requirements and group/Regional HR standards.

Payroll & C&B Governance

Oversee payroll controls, statutory requirements, benefits administration, payroll data quality and issue resolution.

Drive payroll/C&B integration, harmonisation and automation with Finance and relevant stakeholders.

Lead the HR Operations Assistant Manager and HR Services Executive; ensure clear ownership, backup coverage and knowledge documentation.

Track service performance and recurring issues; remove unnecessary manual work without weakening controls.

Requirements
