Sierra Development Sdn Bhd is seeking an HR Senior Executive to support Group HR and plantation operations across Peninsular Malaysia.
You will oversee HR operations, payroll for up to eight companies, and statutory compliance while maintaining HR records and collaborating with estate management.
This is a dynamic role covering HR operations, payroll, recruitment, employee relations and statutory compliance across multiple companies and estate locations. You will provide HR support to Sierra Development Sdn Bhd's Group HR and plantation operations across Peninsular Malaysia.
Key responsibilities
1. Group HR Operations
Manage day-to-day HR operations and provide HR support to multiple companies within the Group.
Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and best practices across the Group.
Work closely with Estate Managers and management on manpower planning, employee matters and HR-related operational issues.
Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, HR documentation and personnel files.
Prepare HR reports, analysis and manpower-related information for management.
2. Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Independently manage and process monthly payroll for up to 8 companies, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Handle payroll matters for both estate workers and staff, including wages, overtime, allowances, deductions and other payroll-related matters.
Ensure timely and accurate statutory submissions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/LHDN and other applicable statutory requirements.
Prepare and maintain payroll reports, reconciliation and relevant statutory records.
Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable Malaysian employment requirements and Group policies.
Provide HR support to various estates across Peninsular Malaysia.
Travel to different estates at least twice a month to understand and address manpower and employee-related matters.
Work closely with Estate Managers on attendance, manpower, employee welfare, disciplinary matters and other HR issues.
Handle employee grievances, misconduct, absenteeism and disciplinary procedures professionally and appropriately.
Ensure proper implementation of HR policies and procedures at estate level.
4. NUPW & AMESU
Administer and provide HR support in accordance with applicable NUPW and AMESU Collective Agreements.
Ensure proper interpretation and implementation of relevant provisions relating to wages, allowances, benefits, working conditions and employee-related matters.
Keep management and estate operations informed of relevant changes affecting employees and plantation HR practices.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for local and foreign workers, from manpower planning and sourcing to interviewing, selection and onboarding.
Coordinate foreign worker recruitment, documentation, onboarding and related administrative processes.
Willing to travel overseas when required for foreign worker recruitment, interviews and selection.
Work with relevant parties on foreign worker documentation, work permits, renewals and other employment-related requirements.
Develop and maintain effective recruitment channels to ensure sufficient manpower for estate operations.
6. HRIS & HR Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR information in the HRIS.
Utilise Info-Tech HR / Payroll System or other similar HRIS and payroll systems effectively.
Generate HR and payroll reports for management review.
Ensure HR data integrity and proper documentation.
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience.
Proven experience in independently handling multi-company payroll, preferably up to 8 companies.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment practices, statutory requirements and HR administration.
Practical experience with NUPW and/or AMESU Collective Agreements will be a strong advantage.
Experience in plantation, agriculture, manufacturing, construction or other labour-intensive industries will be an added advantage.
Experience in foreign worker recruitment and management will be an advantage.
Proficient in Info-Tech HR / Payroll System or similar HRIS and payroll systems.
Strong MS Excel and HR reporting skills.
Good knowledge of EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/LHDN, HRD Corp and other relevant statutory requirements.
Good understanding of employee relations, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling and HR documentation.
Willing to travel regularly to estates across Peninsular Malaysia, with a minimum of 2 estate visits per month.
Willing to travel overseas when required for foreign worker recruitment.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
Mature, responsible, organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with management, estate personnel and workers.
Able to manage multiple companies, locations and deadlines effectively.
