In this key operational role, you will support the full spectrum of HR functions as the senior lead to the HR Manager, guiding a junior operational team while partnering with plant leadership to support multi-site workforce expansion and ongoing HR process digitalization.

• Lead end-to-end recruitment activities: Manage manpower planning, sourcing strategies, candidate evaluation, and onboarding workflows for both white-collar engineering/corporate roles and high-volume plant operations.
• Oversee foreign worker and expatriate management: Direct immigration processes, work permit applications (PVP, passes), levy tracking, hostel welfare, and authority liaisons (JTK, Immigration) to ensure 100% statutory compliance.
• Support C&B and payroll administration: Oversee monthly payroll execution, statutory deductions (SOCSO, EIS, PCB), attendance logs, and compensation structures in alignment with regional group guidelines.
• Drive employee relations & engagement: Provide HR advisory to line managers while handling employee grievances, disciplinary proceedings, domestic inquiries, counselling, and performance management.
• Guide team operations & plant expansion: Mentor a team of 5 junior HR executives, coordinate HR tasks across both manufacturing plants, and assist in setting up operational frameworks for expanding facilities.
• Spearhead HR transformation: Participate in HRIS system optimization, process automation, and periodic management reporting to streamline administrative workflows.

about the requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of solid HR generalist experience, strictly within a manufacturing, semiconductor, or fast-paced industrial plant environment.
• Proven track record in foreign worker immigration workflows, pass processing, and authority compliance under Malaysian labor legislation (Employment Act 1955, Act 446).
• Practical knowledge of compensation and benefits administration, statutory payroll compliance, and HRIS/HR automation tools.
• Maturity, high integrity, and leadership ability to guide junior team members independently in a high-volume, on-site manufacturing setting.
