Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an HR Payroll & Operations Manager to be the foundational hire for a newly established Shared Services setup, supporting payroll centralisation and HR operations across Malaysia and Singapore.

You will own payroll input consolidation, HR data management, and benefits administration, partnering with HR BPs and external vendors to ensure accuracy, governance, and timely delivery, while shaping processes from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-12 years of progressive HR operations and payroll experience.
• Experience in Shared Services or centralised HR environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as foundational hire for a newly established Shared Services setup, supporting centralisation of payroll and HR operations.
• Own payroll input consolidation, HR data management, and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, governance, and timely delivery.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and external payroll vendors to manage payroll execution, data flows, and issue resolution.
• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding, maintaining data integrity across systems.
• Support process review, standardisation, system testing, and reduction of manual work within SuccessFactors, starting with Malaysia and Singapore.

HR Payroll & Operations Manager (Shared Services Setup)

• Act as the foundational hire for a newly established Shared Services setup, supporting the centralisation of payroll and HR operations
• Own payroll input consolidation, HR data management, and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, governance, and timely delivery
• Partner closely with HR Business Partners and external payroll vendors to manage payroll execution, data flows, and operational issue resolution
• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding, maintaining high data integrity across systems
• Support process review, standardisation, system testing, and reduction of manual work within SuccessFactors, starting with Malaysia and Singapore

Foundational role within a newly established Shared Services environmentOpportunity to design, improve, and standardise HR operations

• A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience across HR operations and payroll, ideally within a Shared Services or centralised HR environment
• Proven exposure managing end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding
• Strong payroll operations expertise, including hands-on coordination with external payroll vendors
• Experience working in or leading small, lean HR operations teams, with comfort operating hands-on
• Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems, with SAP SuccessFactors exposure preferred
• A structured and detail-oriented working style suited to building processes from the ground up
• Strong English communication skills to effectively engage regional stakeholders
