Job summary

Halim Hong & Quek is a Malaysian law firm with offices in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Penang, seeking an organised HR Executive to support HR operations and enhance the employee experience.

You will prepare correspondence, maintain records, assist with payroll and benefits, support recruitment and onboarding, and help implement HR policies while ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws. Malaysians only.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably generalist.
• Working knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong communication skills.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HR correspondence including offers and employment letters.
• Maintain employee records and monitor attendance, leaves, probation reviews.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and benefits administration.
• Support recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of new employees.
• Support HR policies, employee relations and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities and performance reviews.
• Assist with HR reporting and day-to-day administration.
