Job summary

KPay Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an SSC Center Assistant Manager to oversee daily Shared Services Center operations, delivering payroll, onboarding, offboarding, and HR administration with accuracy and compliance.

You will lead payroll processing, ensure data integrity, develop SOPs, monitor KPIs, and drive process improvements while mentoring the SSC team and coordinating with HRBPs, Finance, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in HR operations or shared services.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and HR administrative processes.
• Experience in managing or supervising a team preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in HRIS and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end SSC operations, including payroll processing, HR administration, onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Establish and maintain SOPs, internal controls, and service standards.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure service excellence.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Supervise and develop SSC team members to ensure operational efficiency and service quality.
• Allocate workload and manage performance within the team.
• Provide training and guidance to ensure compliance and process adherence.
• Act as the main point of contact for operational HR matters.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination.
• Manage external payroll vendors or service providers where applicable.
