Job summary

Alfa Infra Sdn Bhd in Ipoh is seeking a senior leader to head Human Resources and Compliance across the group. The role ensures alignment with business objectives, drives policy development, and maintains regulatory compliance under Malaysian law.

You will oversee the full employee lifecycle, advise on HR strategy, lead investigations, coordinate audits, and partner with government authorities to maintain registrations and governance. A strong track record in HR and compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and regulations.
• Experience in HR policy development and internal controls.
• Ability to manage end-to-end HR lifecycle and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR and Compliance across the group to align with business objectives.
• Develop, implement, review HR policies, SOPs and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with Employment Act, OSH, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and other statutes.
• Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance and discipline.
• Advise Management on HR strategy, labour relations and risk management.
• Lead investigations, disciplinary actions and domestic inquiries.
• Liaise with government authorities (JTK, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRD Corp, DOSH, CIDB).
• Monitor licenses, permits and regulatory registrations for operations.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and regulatory visits.
• Develop risk registers and corrective action plans to minimise risks.
• Prepare HR documentation, contracts and governance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with project obligations and client requirements.
• Collaborate with Project, Operations, Safety, Finance and Admin teams.
• Lead employee engagement, training, leadership development and succession planning.
• Prepare monthly HR and Compliance reports for Directors and Senior Management.
• Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and governance.
• Safeguard confidentiality of employee records and compliance docs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Directors.
