Job summary

UTM Holdings Sdn Bhd seeks a diligent housekeeper to maintain clean guest rooms and ensure public areas are spotless for guest satisfaction. You will manage laundry, linen, restocks, and report any maintenance needs to keep operations running smoothly.

The role involves following safety guidelines and hotel policies to preserve a safe, pleasant environment for all guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or hotel cleaning preferred.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Healthy and able to stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest rooms including beds, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing towels and toiletries.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairways, and restrooms.
• Collect, wash, and organize bed linens and towels for guest use.
• Restock cleaning products, toiletries, towels and guest amenities as needed.
• Identify and report damages or repairs to the manager or maintenance team.
• Follow safety procedures and hotel policies to ensure a safe, clean environment.

Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting and replenishing towels and toiletries.

Ensures room are clean according to the hotel/inn standards and ready for guest check-ins

2. Common area cleaning:

Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, staircases, and restrooms in both the hotel and inn.

Ensures all common area are kept tidy and presentable for guest at all times.

3. Laundry and Linen Management:

Collect, wash, and organize bed linens and towels for guest use.

Ensure laundry is handled efficiently and supplies are always available.

4. Restocking Supplies:

Replenish cleaning products, toiletries, towels, and other guest amenities in rooms and common areas as needed.

Keep track of supplies and request replenishments to avoid shortages.

5. Report Maintenance Issues:

Identify and report any damages or repairs needed in rooms or common areas to the manager or maintenance team.

6. Safety and Cleanliness Compliance:

Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals according to guidelines.

Adhere to hotel and inn policies to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests.
