Responsibilities

• Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms per hotel standards (beds, dusting, vacuuming, replenish toiletries and linens).
• Public Area Maintenance: Ensure lobbies, hallways and restrooms are clean and well-maintained.
• Laundry Services: Handle washing, drying, folding and ironing linens and towels as required.
• Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests for supplies or cleaning needs promptly and courteously, report maintenance issues.
• Inventory Management: Help manage cleaning supplies and equipment; report low stock levels.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Follow health regulations; handle cleaning chemicals safely; use PPE as required.
• Team Collaboration: Work with housekeeping staff and other departments for efficient operations.
• Documentation: Maintain records of tasks and report issues to supervisor; follow schedule.

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager (HKM), Assistant Housekeeping Manager (AHKM)

Room Cleaning: Clean and prepare guest rooms according to the hotel's standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies such as toiletries and linens.

Public Area Maintenance: Ensure public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Regularly check and address any cleanliness issues in these areas.

Laundry Services: Handle laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towels as required. Ensure that clean linens are stocked and ready for use.

Guest Requests: Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or special cleaning needs promptly and courteously. Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.

Inventory Management: Assist with managing cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure that cleaning supplies are used efficiently and report low stock levels to the supervisor.

Health & Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow safety procedures.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure efficient operations and a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Documentation: Maintain records of completed tasks and report any issues or special requests to the housekeeping supervisor. Ensure all housekeeping duties are completed as per the schedule.

Authority

Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the housekeeping supervisor or manager.

Report any guest complaints, maintenance issues, or discrepancies to the supervisor.

Handle and use cleaning supplies and equipment according to established protocols and safety guidelines.

Requirements

Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good physical stamina, and excellent customer service skills
