Job summary

Crowne Plaza KLCC in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee assigned room and public area attendants and ensure that product quality standards and service levels meet hotel objectives.

You will supervise housekeeping standards, coordinate with Front Office, manage shift handovers, and maintain stock and inventory to support seamless guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management or equivalent.
• 2 years housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity and including supervisory experience or training.
• Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of all housekeeping systems.
• Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.
• Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements.
• Manage stock levels and conduct shift briefings to communicate activities.

Job description

Asthe Housekeeping Supervisor,youare responsibleto supervise and inspect the work of assigned room and/or public area attendants to ensure product quality standards are met and thatoptimumservice is provided to hotel guests according to hotel and company businessobjectives.

• Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to:
  • Valet service
  • Cleaning service
• Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis
• Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems
• Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over
• Distribution and collection of keys
• Management of all incoming and outgoing calls
• Solve employee grievances
• Perform Room allocations
• Perform Room inspections
• Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements
• Ensure guest valet is processed and deliveredin a timely manner
• Co-ordinate special projects (egsite rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories)
• Manage all special requests made by guests
• Ensure consistency within the department
• Management of lost property for the hotel
• Ensure you have complete knowledge of room types,layoutsand facilities
• Manage storage areas
• Number of employees supervised:Room Attendant/Housekeeping Coordinator/Housekeeping Order-Taker/Public Area Attendant
• Key Metrics are cleanliness of Room and Public Area and rate of Guest Room turnover
• Maintain adequate stock levels
• Complete stock takes asrequired
• Maintain stock levels
• Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
• Works with Superior and Human Resources onmanpowerplanning and management needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
