Job summary

GAYA CENTRE HOTEL is seeking a diligent housekeeping operative to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas in line with hotel standards. You will change sheets, replace towels, restock supplies, and ensure linens are handled properly.

Responsibilities include reporting lost and found items, notifying supervisors of repairs, logging inventory and cleaning chemicals, performing deep cleans when required, and safeguarding guest privacy. May be assigned additional duties by management.

• Clean and maintain guest rooms and public areas to hotel standard.
• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing sheets, towels, and restocking toilet supplies.
• Report and return guest properties found in rooms.
• Report property damage to supervisor and log lost and found items.
• Notify supervisor of necessary repairs.
• Collect and sort linen; monitor inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform deep cleans when required and disinfect/store all equipment after shifts.
• Protect guest privacy and personal possessions; comply with work shift policies.
• May be assigned additional duties by Management.

Job description

• Your duties may include but is not limited to cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and/or public areas and facilities to meet the Hotel’s requires standard.
• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels and restocking toilet supplies.
• Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering services.
• Report cases of property damage in guest room or public areas to superior.
• Report, turn in and log all lost and found items.
• Notifying superior of necessary repairs.
• Collect and sorting linen.
• Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform detailed deep cleans when required.
• Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift.
• Understand the company’s policy on work shifts, guest’s possessions and privacy issues.
• Maintains standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• To perform any other duties as directed by the Management.
• You may also be assigned other administrative and/or operational duties from time to time by the Management.
