Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a hotel operations professional to oversee daily hotel activities in Ipoh, Malaysia. The role focuses on delivering high standards of guest service, managing reception, staff, and coordinating maintenance and financial tasks to support smooth hotel operations.

You will handle check-in/check-out, room bookings from multiple platforms, and ensure daily sales and reports align with management expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily hotel operations and maintain customer service standards at the highest level
• Provide daily and weekly reports to the Hotel Manager
• Support marketing, promotion, and hotel events as required
• Conduct check-in and check-out processes according to established procedures
• Receive room bookings from all available platforms
• Record and ensure daily sales are calculated correctly and entered into company accounts before 10am each day
• Collaborate with managers and staff to conduct promotional activities to increase company sales
• Assist in staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
• Supervise staff tasks and work schedules to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor room cleanliness, public areas, and hotel facilities
• Monitor department budget usage and control spending according to targets
• Assist in preparing financial reports and performance analysis
• Assist in inventory management, stock items, and operational supplies
• Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally
• Ensure guest feedback is collected and analysed for service improvement
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety policies and procedures
• Oversee internal audit procedures and standard operating procedure improvements
• Ensure room availability and prevent serious damage
• Update damage reports and room availability to housekeeping and manager
• Collect comments or complaints regarding any room damage and discuss with manager for resolution
