Job summary

Nakano Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor to oversee daily site safety inspections and monitor construction activities for compliance with safety requirements. The role includes safety briefings, PPE monitoring, accident investigations, and maintaining HSE records across project sites in Malaysia.

Applicants should hold a Diploma/Certificate in OSH or Environmental Management, be a registered SSS/Yellow Book holder with DOSH/JKKP, and have at least 3

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management.
• Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) / Yellow Book holder with DOSH/JKKP.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and monitor construction activities.
• Carry out toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety induction.
• Monitor PPE usage and compliance with site safety rules.
• Assist in implementing the project's HSE Plan and safe work practices.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure permits and safety controls are in place.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, permits and documentation.
• Assist with internal and external HSE inspections and audits.
• Carry out other HSE-related duties as assigned by the HSE Manager/Officer.

Job description

Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor

Conduct daily site safety inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety induction for workers and subcontractors.

Monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with site safety rules.

Assist in implementing the project's HSE Plan, procedures and safe work practices.

Monitor high-risk construction activities and ensure the required safety control measures and permits are in place.

Assist in investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, checklists, permits and other required documentation.

Assist with internal and external HSE inspections and audits.

Carry out other HSE-related duties as assigned by the HSE Manager/Officer.

Education Requirements

Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management.

Registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) / Yellow Book holder with DOSH/JKKP.

Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience in the construction industry.

Working Conditions

Applicants must be willing to work at project sites nationwide. Currently, we are looking to hire this position for our Kulim project. Accommodation will be provided by the Company for outstation staff.

Official working hours are from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Applicants must be willing to commit to working beyond regular hours, including weekends and public holidays.

12 months contract duration(with potential for extension or renewal).
