Job summary

Marcus Group seeks a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee safety compliance at Johor Bahru construction sites. You will conduct daily safety inspections, ensure PPE usage, and lead safety induction and toolbox talks for workers and sub-contractors.

You will coordinate with authorities and support ISO QMS implementation, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. The role requires a DOSH Yellow Book and at least 2 years of relevant experience in construction safety, with a willingness to lead

Qualifications

• Must possess Yellow Book by DOSH.
• At least 2 years working experience in similar position.
• Experience in building constructions industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and prepare daily site safety inspections on project site construction.
• Ensure staff and sub-contractors wear suitable PPE at the worksite.
• Conduct safety programs such as Safety Induction and Toolbox Meetings for new workers.
• Inspect site machineries and equipment for safety compliance.
• Ensure safety signage, first aid kit, fire-fighting equipment and safety materials are available on site.
• Assist in incident and accident investigations and reporting.
• Monitor workers quarters and keep areas tidy and safe.
• Ensure site accesses are safe and housekeeping is maintained.
• Promote safety, health and environmental matters at the workplace as a team player.
• Prepare and update safety reports and documentation at site.
• Attend to authority enforcement (DOSH, DOE, CIDB, DOH, etc.).
• Provide support to the ISO QMS for its effectiveness.

Job description

To ensure safety and health requirement been followed at project site.

To assist and report to the SHO, Safety Manager on issues pertaining to the site safety, health and environmental matters.

Carry out and prepare the daily site safety inspection on project site construction.

To ensure that all staff and sub-contractors workers are using suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working at the worksite.

Carry out safety programs (i.e. Safety Induction, Toolbox Meeting etc.) to new workers or sub-contractors workers from time to time.

Inspect the worksite machineries and equipment which are being utilized at the site in order to ensure compliance to the project site safety requirements.

Ensure safety signage, first aid-kit; fire-fighting equipment and adequate supply of safety materials are available at the work site.

Assist in incident and accident investigation and reporting.

Monitor and organizing workers quarter and do regular housekeeping.

Ensure all site accesses are safe and housekeeping carries out at the site.

To be a team player and proactive in promoting safety, health and environmental matters at the workplace.

Prepare and update all safety reports and documentations at site.

Attend to the authority enforcement at project site i.e. DOSH, DOE, CIDB, DOH etc.

Provide support to the ISO Quality Management System (QMS) for its effectiveness.

Any assignment as deemed fit and necessary by the Management.

Requirements;
