Job summary

MONIN Asia KL Sdn Bhd is seeking a Head of Supply Chain based in Rawang to lead the supply chain function, ensuring product availability and optimal local inventory levels. You will oversee forecasting, S&OP, and strategic replenishment planning, while driving new projects and improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee customers’ requirements on time and quantity.
• Lead S&OP for the site to meet monthly forecast and stock level targets.
• Plan production by SKU and category, balancing safety stock, demand and forecast.
• Procure raw materials, packaging, co-packaged goods and POS in line with Purchasing Dept. conditions.
• Manage stocks targets, obsolescence, and QA/HSSE constraints.

Job description

Based in Rawang, and reporting to the Managing Director, he/she will mainly have the mission to support MONIN’s importers in Asia-Pacific to ensure guarantee customers’ requirements and quantities are timely met.

His/her main missions will be:

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead and manage the Supply Chain function to ensure products availability, well control and optimize local inventory levels to meet business requirements, ensuring effective forecasting which guarantee reactivity to the demands of the market. Competent to develop the supply chain model of forecasting mechanism, S&OP process and strategic replenishment planning.

Must be able to lead new projects.

May be extreme rigor, but with a real capacity to stay flexible and proactive.

Competent to develop Standard Operating Procedures to implement Demand Planning system and determining how this will link across to the rest of the organization with effectiveness.

Requires strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The first and main responsibility for the Head of Supply Chain is to guarantee customers’ requirements on time and quantity.

Thus she/he is responsible for:

• Managing the S&OP for the site to ensure industrial capacities reach the monthly forecast for the year in accordance to stocks levels targets;
• Planning production: the planning must meet the requirements and it’s determined on skus by categories (on safety stocks, on demand, on forecast…);
• Note: in the short-term horizon (some weeks), if the lines capacities are insufficient she/he will help the planner to prioritize productions;
• Ensuring procurement for all raw/packaging materials, co-packed finished goods and POS, in compliance with
• The purchasing conditions contracted by the Purchasing Dept.,
• Her/his stocks level targets,
• Quality constraints.
• Scheduling production, taking into account production constraints and batches optimizations;
• Managing sales forecast, from global to detailed by sku;
• Ensuring all new/modified products (finished goods or raw/pack materials) are taken into account to reach the launch/switch (lead-time and stocks management);
• Updating and managing her/his KPI, with the SC teams, her/his peers and Director, also with the HQ.
• Ensuring stocks control, obsolescence management, reliability and inventories.

To succeed in achieving the missions:

She/he is in charge of:

• The Procurement and Planning teams
• The Demand Planner

She/he has to note that the Operational teams are functionally reporting to her/him for Supply chain matters (stocks management, flows, respect of the production and loading planning, etc.). Hence she/he ensures all processes and procedures are in place and respected.

She/he manages her/his own improvement actions plan with his/her team and shares it with the HQ.

She/he guarantees her/his team:

• is well informed and trained to assume their jobs;
• is respecting the procedures and processes
• is respecting all QSHE procedures and site rules.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in any business field and other disciplines. APICS certified or related certification preferred.

SKILLS

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage, communicate & influence senior stakeholders, business partners, and cross functional team (internal & external).
• Strong analytical, business process analysis & problem-solving capabilities.
• Competent in material planning, import and export, FTA, 3PL & logistics.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate initiatives in a virtual team environment.
• Able to manage Procurement and Production Planning functions.
• Having strong coaching skills for team motivation.

PROFILE

>>5 - 10 years supply chain management hands on experience in multinational company related to similar category.

Knowledge of the market, suppliers, cost drivers and process improvement.

Knowledge of Project Management.

Knowledge of the market trends, business model, manufacturing process, continue improvement process.

Computer literate in Microsoft application and exposure to an integrated ERP software (JDE preferably) environment is a concrete added value.

Ability to start work immediately will be an advantage.
