Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the Group's HR function across its subsidiaries. The role collaborates with senior management to strengthen workforce capabilities, organisational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Responsibilities include shaping HR strategy, managing recruitment, payroll, performance frameworks and compliance with Malaysian laws. Extensive leadership experience and multilingual capability in English and Bahasa Malaysia are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM, BA or related field.
• 15+ years in HR with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience with Malaysian public-listed company and diversified group.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy, policies and operations across subsidiaries and divisions.
• Manage recruitment, manpower planning and succession planning.
• Oversee payroll, compensation, benefits and salary benchmarking.
• Develop performance management frameworks, KPIs and appraisal processes.
• Advise management on employee relations, disciplinary matters and industrial relations.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
• Drive training, leadership development and talent retention initiatives.
• Review structures, job grades and remuneration frameworks for efficiency.
• Support organisational changes, restructures, and post-acquisition integration.
• Prepare HR budgets and management papers for Board matters.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the Group's HR function. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to strengthen workforce capabilities, organisational effectiveness and employee engagement across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Group's HR strategy, policies and operations across its subsidiaries and business divisions.
• Manage recruitment, manpower planning and succession planning to support business needs.
• Oversee payroll, compensation, benefits and salary benchmarking, ensuring accuracy and effective cost management.
• Develop performance management frameworks, KPIs and appraisal processes aligned with business objectives.
• Advise management on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances and industrial relations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
• Drive training, leadership development and talent retention initiatives.
• Review organisational structures, job grades and remuneration frameworks to improve efficiency and accountability.
• Support organisational changes, restructuring and the integration of employees following acquisitions or other corporate exercises.
• Prepare HR budgets, workforce reports and management papers, including support for Board and remuneration committee matters where required.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Experience with a Malaysian public-listed company, preferably within a diversified group.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, industrial relations, payroll and statutory requirements.
• Proven experience managing HR across multiple subsidiaries, business units or locations.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise senior management.
• A hands-on approach, sound judgement and a high level of integrity and discretion.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
