Job summary

voco Kuching is seeking an HR Manager to lead HR initiatives across hiring, benefits, employee relations and training programmes for hotel colleagues. In this top HR role, you will guide the General Manager and leadership team on people-related issues to ensure a compliant, high-performance culture that delivers a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification or equivalent.
• 4 years' of related experience in HR.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR related matters.
• Must speak local language(s) and English.

Responsibilities

• Create programmes to foster a positive work environment and administer an annual colleagues satisfaction survey.
• Educate and train managers on HR disciplines to foster productivity and enhance performance.
• Welcome and conduct new colleague orientation.
• Oversee maintenance of personnel files and records for all colleagues.
• Ensure hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed and maintain the culture of the hotel.
• Build relations with universities, colleagues, and government bodies.
• Develop awareness of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote colleague involvement.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Handle grievances with care and investigate workplace issues to resolve them.
• Collect and maintain exit data to identify trends and training needs.
