Job summary

A leading engineering company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop the Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in formwork and scaffolding, a degree in Civil Engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Responsibilities include overseeing project delivery, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and collaborating with regulatory bodies. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for driving team performance and achieving results under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in formwork, shoring, scaffolding, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations and engineering standards.
• Professional engineering registration is an advantage.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop the Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Provide expert guidance on formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs.

Support Sales with technical solutions and attend client or project meetings when required.

Oversee project planning, equipment requirements, and coordination with Operations to ensure smooth delivery.

Ensure all engineering documents, designs, and standards meet quality and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with CIDB and product certification bodies to meet regulatory standards.

Support the development of local product strategy aligned with PERI’s global direction.

Represent PERI’s technical expertise internally and externally.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).

Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in formwork, shoring, scaffolding, or related industries.

Strong knowledge of local regulations and engineering standards.

Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and structural analysis software (e.g., RSTAB).

Leadership experience with the ability to manage and grow a technical team.

Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.

Professional engineering registration is an advantage.
