Job summary

GuocoLand Malaysia is seeking a senior business development leader to help shape the next phase of our growth. Identify and secure development opportunities aligned with GuocoLand's strengths, including land acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.

You will build a strategic opportunity pipeline, evaluate market potential and feasibility, lead investment assessments, and drive negotiations with landowners and partners, reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in property development or related fields.
• Proven success sourcing and securing development opportunities.
• Strong financial modelling and feasibility analysis capability.
• Established industry network and stakeholder management.

Identify and secure development opportunities that align with GuocoLand's strengths and long-term ambitions.

This may come through:

• Land acquisitions
• Joint ventures
• Strategic partnerships
• Other unconventional pathways to development

The objective is not simply to acquire land.

It's to identify opportunities worthy of becoming future GuocoLand developments.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain a strategic opportunity pipeline
• Evaluate market potential, commercial viability and strategic fit
• Lead feasibility studies and investment assessments
• Drive negotiations with landowners, partners and key stakeholders
• Present recommendations to senior leadership and decision-makers
• Support the successful execution of acquisitions and partnerships

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years within property development, land acquisition, real estate investment or business development
• Demonstrated success sourcing and securing development opportunities
• Strong financial modelling and feasibility analysis capability
• Established industry network and stakeholder management experience
• Commercial judgement to distinguish between attractive opportunities and the right opportunities
