Job summary

Idealseed Resources Sdn Bhd is establishing a new manufacturing and engineering hub in Batu Kawan, Penang. We seek an IT Manager to lead deployment of IT infrastructure for office, labs, and production areas. Role combines hands-on execution with local leadership and global governance alignment.

Responsibilities include building a local IT team, implementing security controls, and coordinating with HQ and external vendors to support rapid site ramp‑up planned for 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/related field.
• 5–8 years in IT network & infrastructure roles, preferably in high-tech manufacturing.
• 3+ years in a site-responsible IT role with people management.
• Experience with ISO 27001 and information security controls.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, and structured cabling.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, virtualization, and endpoint management.
• Strong English communication and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Self-starter able to work independently at a remote site.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of IT infrastructure and network for a new manufacturing facility.
• Build and manage local IT team of up to 4 FTEs; hands-on during buildout.
• Ensure ISO 27001 compliance, security controls, and documentation.
• Coordinate with global IT teams and vendors; participate in audits.
• Maintain on-prem server rooms, AD/DNS/DHCP, storage, and backups.
• Support end-user devices, collaboration tools, and remote access.
