Job summary

PEC seeks an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager in Penang, Malaysia to define and support global IT systems enabling PEC to deliver and scale battery manufacturing solutions worldwide. This senior role reports to the COO for Southeast Asia and demands hands-on leadership, ITIL practices, and regular international travel to PEC sites.

Key responsibilities include upgrading secure IT architecture, ERP connections (SAP), CAD platforms, and enterprise apps.

Qualifications

Master's degree in IT or a related field.
Minimum 5 years hands-on IT infrastructure and network architecture experience in an international environment.
Experience supporting enterprise applications; SAP knowledge is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD systems and their infrastructure and performance requirements.
Strong experience in IT service management, incl. incident, problem, and change management (ITIL a plus).

Responsibilities

Develop a highly reliable, secure, and efficient IT architecture upgrade across PEC operations.
Provide technical leadership for enterprise connectivity including SAP, CAD platforms, and Microsoft environments.
Protect intellectual property with advanced security systems on a global scale.
Troubleshoot complex multi-layer infrastructure and application performance issues across distributed sites.
Harmonize and standardize global IT processes, service levels, monitoring, and operations.
Lead infrastructure lifecycle planning, modernization, and global improvement initiatives.
Travel regularly to international sites to support deployments and coordination.
