Job summary

JAC Recruitment International is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and expansion projects at a Penang manufacturing facility. You will install and test production equipment, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues, and coordinate with suppliers.

Fresh graduates with hands-on exposure are welcome; bilingual English/ Mandarin preferred; willingness to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing support.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing or semiconductor environments is a plus.
• Fresh graduates with hands-on exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
• Willing to perform standby duties and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and commission new production equipment and machinery.
• Conduct equipment testing, evaluation, and acceptance activities.
• Support production line expansion and new equipment integration projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Improve equipment stability, performance, and operational reliability.
• Minimize machine downtime and support continuous production operations.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency production situations.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Support equipment reliability and process optimization projects.
• Maintain maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
