Job summary

Zohorecruit in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, seeks a Group HR Director to lead the group’s human capital strategy, align with growth and governance as a PLC, and drive workforce strategy across corporate and manufacturing operations.

The role requires deep HR leadership, industrial relations expertise, succession and leadership development, and governance delivery with the Board Remuneration Committee, plus data-driven HR practices and change initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing, industrial or large corporates.
• Experience at Group/regional HR leadership level.
• Experience with industrial relations and labour legislation.
• Experience working with Board-level stakeholders and PLC governance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to drive organisational transformation and HR governance frameworks.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group’s human capital strategy aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to drive transformation and workforce productivity.
• Advise the Board on human capital matters and governance disclosures.
• Lead succession planning, leadership development and talent pipelines.
• Oversee industrial relations strategy across manufacturing operations and labour law compliance.
• Ensure data-driven HR practices and standardised HR processes across subsidiaries.
