Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a strategic Head of HR to lead HR, L&D, and corporate administration functions in a government-backed holding group. The role drives payroll, compensation, benefits, ER, and performance management while shaping governance policies and relations with statutory bodies.

Key initiatives include implementing integrated HR technology, assessing competency gaps, and guiding succession planning to optimise long-term talent. Travel within Malaysia may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field with extensive leadership experience.
• Experience in PLC/GLC, asset management, or corporate institutional setting preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking with fluent written and verbal skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Highly collaborative, adaptable, and willing to travel locally and outstation as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-spectrum HR, L&D, and corporate administration functions including payroll, compensation & benefits, ER, and performance management.
• Governance & policy: develop and review policies to comply with employment laws and prepare papers for the Board/Committees.
• Lead HR digitisation by implementing integrated HR technologies and managing succession planning to enhance capability.
• Advise executive management and maintain internal/external communications to support business objectives.

• Strategic & Operational Leadership, direct and supervise full-spectrum Human Resource, L&D, and Corporate Administration functions, including payroll, compensation and benefits, employee/industrial relations, and performance management.
• Governance & Policy Compliance, formulate and review organisational policies in compliance with relevant employment legislation, while managing relationships with statutory bodies and preparing strategic papers for Board and Committee meetings.
• Talent & HR Digitisation, drive the implementation of integrated HR technology systems, evaluate competency gaps, and manage succession planning to optimise workforce capability and long-term talent utilisation.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory, serve as a strategic advisor to executive management, maintain internal/external communication networks, and oversee employee counselling to support broader business objectives.

about the requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with at least 16 years of progressive leadership experience;
• Background within a Public Listed Company (PLC), Government-Linked Company (GLC), Asset Management or corporate institutional setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent written and verbal fluency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Driven, collaborative team player with high adaptability and willingness to travel locally and outstation as required.
