Job summary

Niche Capital Emas Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced Group Accountant to contribute to the company’s long-term growth. The ideal candidate will lead group consolidation, statutory reporting and budgeting, with a strong emphasis on MFRS/IFRS compliance and corporate governance.

The role requires ownership of financial reporting across subsidiaries, interaction with external auditors and regulators, and strategic financial planning in a fast-paced, governance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified with MIA membership or a recognized accounting professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a group/listed company environment.
• Strong knowledge of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and MFRS/IFRS.
• Solid understanding of corporate governance, tax compliance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
• Oversee group consolidation and statutory reporting across subsidiaries.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and investments.
• Analyze management reports to produce meaningful group reporting and draft group financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, secretaries, regulators, bankers and stakeholders.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management and financial governance.
• Support corporate exercises including mergers & acquisitions, JVs, fundraising and other strategic initiatives.

Niche Capital Emas Holdings Berhad (NICE) is an emerging junior mining and resources company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and commercially driven Group Accountant to contribute to the Company's long-term growth.

Key responsibilities

Ensure timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and other regulatory requirements.

End-to-end execution of the Group's financial consolidation and statutory reporting, ensuring financial information across subsidiaries is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements and current accounting standards

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the Group's business expansion and investment initiatives.

Analyse and review subsidiaries' management reports to produce meaningful group reporting, and draft group financial statements

Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, regulators, bankers and other stakeholders

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

Strengthen internal controls, enterprise risk management and financial governance.

Support corporate exercises including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, fundraising and other strategic initiatives.

About you

Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia, CIMA or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a group / listed company environment; some postings specify at least 3 years in a Big 4 audit firm combined with commercial experience

Experience in a public-listed company is highly preferred.

Sound knowledge of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), taxation and corporate governance.

Experience consolidating a group of at least 3–5 active subsidiaries (not just compiling info for someone else's consolidation)

Expert-level knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements

High proficiency in Accounting Software and advanced Excel for complex financial modelling

Highly analytical, honest, committed work ethic, able to operate in a fast-paced, high-governance environment

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
