Job summary

JD MEGA INTERNATIONAL is seeking an Account Executive to join our finance team in Kuantan, Malaysia. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and working with numbers in the mining sector.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with 2–4 years of accounting experience, proficient in Excel and accounting software, and familiar with Malaysian tax requirements. This is a full-time position based in Kuantan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in mining, quarrying, construction, resources, or related industry is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Malaysian statutory and tax requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full set of accounts including AR, AP, and GL.
• Prepare accounting entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, schedules, and financial summaries.
• Monitor and analyze budget vs. actual expenditure and prepare variance reports.
• Ensure timely compliance with tax, EPF, SOCSO, and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare supporting documents and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Assist with accounting and financial matters related to the mining operations.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned by management.

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Account Executive to join our finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations in the mining industry.

Your Responsibilities

Manage a full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).

Prepare accounting entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and perform monthly account reconciliations.

Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.

Prepare financial statements, management reports, schedules, and financial summaries.

What We're Looking For
