Job summary

Crest Systems (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive high-level consultative advisory and technology adoption across semiconductor, SMT/PCBA, IoT, 5G, and EV ecosystems in Malaysia. You will connect cutting-edge manufacturing with complex client challenges and lead a team of Technical Sales Engineers in your territory.

The role emphasizes strategic accounts, market intelligence, and collaboration with QA/QC, process engineering, and product development to resolve yield challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of technical sales or applications engineering with at least 2 years in a team lead role.
• Experience in semiconductor, SMT/PCBA, microelectronics or industrial electronics equipment sectors.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional regional languages are a plus.
• Willing to travel domestically and overseas; own transport required.
• Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into actionable business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire a team of Technical Sales Engineers in your territory.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to key semiconductor fabs, OSATs, SMT/PCBA assemblers and tier-1 electronics manufacturers.
• Forecast demand using data analytics and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, process engineering and product development to resolve yield challenges.
• Drive market intelligence, identify growth opportunities, and align solutions with customer targets.
