Job summary

Selkirk is seeking an Import and Export Manager in Malaysia to drive end-to-end ocean export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and Malaysian Customs laws. You will coordinate with internal teams, freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and government agencies to move high-volume exports from booking to final delivery with accurate billing and certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ocean export operations or freight forwarding
• At least 1 year in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• English required; Mandarin or Bahasa Melayu an advantage

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking to delivery
• Liaise with internal teams, freight forwarders, 3PL and MITI authorities
• Handle COO, Form E and other trade certifications
• Submit COO and other documents to MITI and authorities
• Process SST exemption certificates and maintain documentation
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Customs regulations and HS codes
• Prepare Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and other docs
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates to stakeholders
• Manage shipment costing, quotations and invoicing
• Resolve commercial inquiries and drive process improvements
• Undertake additional logistics tasks as needed
