Job summary

Mission Foods is seeking an experienced Shipping Executive in Malaysia to manage export shipments from receipt to final delivery. You will coordinate with CS on requests, secure freight quotes and bookings, monitor vessel schedules, handle documentation, and ensure timely clearance and delivery to customers.

The role requires hands-on experience in export logistics, familiarity with Incoterms, and proficiency in Excel. Strong coordination with agents and internal departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in export shipping, freight forwarding or export logistics.
• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or related field; substantial relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review shipment requests including cargo-ready dates, destinations, quantities and container requirements.
• Obtain freight quotations, secure bookings with forwarders or shipping lines, coordinate with customer-appointed agents.
• Monitor vessel schedules, Shipping Instructions, VGM and customs cut-offs; escalate delays.
• Arrange container collection, haulage, loading slots and port delivery; coordinate reefer settings.
• Issue loading instructions and verify quantities, weights, batch details and container/seal numbers.
• Prepare and verify Commercial Invoices data, Packing Lists, SI; coordinate VGM submission and Bills of Lading.
• Coordinate with forwarding agents on declarations and clearance; arrange COO and other documents.
• Provide SOB confirmation and updated arrival estimates; share shipment information with CS.
• Compile final shipping documents and coordinate BL release and document dispatch.
• Verify invoices and investigate charges to prevent avoidable costs.
• Maintain shipment tracker, checklists, files and exception reports; back up other Shipping Executive.
