Job summary

STMicroelectronics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance operations and strengthen the onboarding of new staff within the ST group. You will manage month-end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and uphold internal controls and SOX compliance across local entities.

The role involves coordinating with the SSC RTR team, overseeing procurement approvals and tax filings, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting
• Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA) preferred
• 3+ years audit experience
• 3+ years commercial experience
• Familiar with US environment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Finance Operation of ST legal entities which currently do not have finance team presence on site
• Responsible for month end close process with support from SSC RTR team
• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information to stakeholders.
• Responsible to ensure internal control in place for safeguarding of company asset
• Approver for procurement process and SOX control
• Responsible to ensure full compliance of accounting standards & local legal rules & regulations with the support from local consultant.
• Responsible to ensure timely submission of tax filing and compliance to local tax rules & regulations with the support from local consultant.
