Job summary

Talent Trader Group Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned finance professional to support the Financial Controller in leading the accounting department, ensuring timely month-end close and robust control procedures.

You will oversee statutory financial statements and Group reporting, ensure compliance with Malaysian and International Accounting Standards, review reconciliations and journal entries, and manage intercompany transactions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred
• Minimum 5–8 years' relevant experience in financial accounting, with exposure to manufacturing or FMCG environments
• Strong knowledge of FRS/MFRS standards, tax regulations, and treasury operations
• Experience managing audits, internal controls, and compliance processes
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Controller in leading the accounting department, ensuring timely month-end closing and proper control procedures
• Oversee statutory financial statements and Group reporting, ensuring compliance with Malaysian and International Accounting Standards (FRS)
• Review general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly journal entries
• Maintain intercompany transactions, accounting forms, and inventory adjustments accurately and on time
• Establish and maintain internal accounting controls, working with auditors to ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage cash/fund pool, cashflow forecasts for treasury operations
• Liaise with tax agents on income tax, GST, and withholding tax computations and filings
• Support insurance renewals, Food Safety System requirements (HACCP, GMP, FSSC22000, HALAL), and other ad-hoc duties as needed
