Job summary

ERM Malaysia is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial close, maintain P&L integrity, and ensure compliance with Local GAAP and group policies. You will liaise with the Global Delivery Centre and Finance Partners to deliver timely reports.

You will provide technical accounting leadership, monitor balance sheet risks, partner with BU leaders, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive finance transformation including ERP implementations.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years’ finance experience in a multinational organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Local GAAP, statutory reporting, taxation and regulatory compliance (Malaysia & Singapore).
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close with accurate reporting.
• Maintain P&L, balance sheet integrity and robust controls.
• Oversee Local GAAP accounting, statutory statements and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical accounting leadership and balance sheet reconciliations via GDC.
• Monitor balance sheet risks and communicate to leadership.
• Review contracts and provide financial input for risk management.
• Partner with BU Finance Director and regional leaders to drive performance.
• Champion finance transformation including ERP implementations.
