Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a highly experienced Senior Analyst for its GBS Record-to-Report function in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage monthly close processes, ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting for global entities, while coordinating with tax, FP&A, and audits.

Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years of accounting experience, ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), strong Excel skills, and the ability to drive process improvements in a multinational SSC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (CA/ACCA/CPA) preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, with 1–2 years in financial review and controlling role.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities are delivered timely and accurately.
• Review and approve manual journal entries and key reports (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Review reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for substantiation and validity.
• Analyze month-on-month and quarter-on-quarter movements to identify unusual fluctuations.
• Ensure general ledger integrity and IFRS/GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Provide guidance to R2R professionals on accounting matters.
• Liaise with external audits to finalize financial statements on time.
• Support SOX documentation and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Identify improvements to the R2R process and contribute to automation initiatives.
