Job summary

NYS International Freight Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Procurement Executive to join our growing logistics team and support both procurement and customer service for local and overseas customers and agents. You will handle inquiries, source competitive rates, and coordinate with carriers to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have experience in freight forwarding or logistics, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding/logistics/transportation industry is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure.
• Responsible, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Good command of English (additional languages are an advantage).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries from local and overseas customers and agents
• Follow up on sales leads, quotations, and customer requests
• Coordinate closely with carriers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Source competitive freight and shipping rates
• Prepare and send quotations promptly
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners
• Monitor shipment updates and ensure smooth communication
• Maintain customer and prospect databases
• Stay updated on market trends and industry developments
