Job summary

BSD Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Service Technician / Assistant Engineer to provide technical service support to customers, including on-site installation and servicing of company products. You will prepare quotations, assist with warranty claims, and coordinate with the sales team for additional opportunities.

The role requires travel overseas on short notice and a 5-day work week, with after-hours availability when required, and on-job training for candidates without experience.

Qualifications

• Candidate to possess at least Professional Certificate/Tertiary Certificate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Typical computer skills and general technical knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service support to customers, including on-site installation and calibration.
• Prepare service jobs and machine parts quotations for the Administrator.
• Submit warranty claims to factory on behalf of customers.
• Perform on-site advice, installation, preventive maintenance, repairs of company products.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding technical and service problems with tact and courtesy.
• Stay updated with equipment modifications, new systems, and related technical information.
• Inform customers of additional services or product sales opportunities to the sales team.
• Manage resources, materials and equipment for each project to deliver efficiently.
