Job summary

MBT in Malaysia is seeking a Service Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a variety of equipment or systems at customer sites, delivering timely, professional service. You will communicate with customers, follow safety standards, document parts used and hours, travel to sites as required, and collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment or systems at customer sites.
• Identify issues through diagnostic tests, provide accurate solutions, and repair or replace defective parts.
• Communicate with customers to explain issues, repairs, and maintenance procedures in a clear and professional manner.
• Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and hours worked.
• Provide on-site customer support and act as a point of contact for technical issues.
• Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction and to resolve any outstanding concerns.
• Keep up to date with new product offerings, industry trends, and technological advancements.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and work regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
