Medtronic Malaysia Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Director of Training & Education (T&E) to lead the development and execution of the Surgical Training & Education strategy across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience within medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or a related industry.
• Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience, including leadership of leaders and large teams.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, matrixed organizations across multiple markets or geographies.
• Proven experience driving organizational transformation, change management, and business improvement initiatives.
• Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and execution of Training & Education across the Surgical portfolio.
• Develop and implement educational strategies that support business growth, customer engagement, therapy adoption, and commercial excellence.
• Partner with senior leaders across Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations functions to align capability-building initiatives with organisational priorities.
• Serve as a key member of the Surgical leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and organisational effectiveness.
• Oversee the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of customer and employee education programmes.
• Drive innovation in learning methodologies, including digital learning solutions, simulation-based training, and new educational technologies.
• Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, learner engagement, and business impact.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organisation comprising managers and individual contributors across multiple geographies.
• Build an inclusive, collaborative, and performance-oriented culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
• Develop succession plans and talent strategies to strengthen organisational capability and ensure leadership continuity.
• Actively mentor future leaders and create opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Lead teams through organizational transformation and evolving business structures.
• Drive adoption of new ways of working and ensure teams remain engaged, resilient, and focused during periods of change.
