Job summary

Alibaba Cloud Malaysia in Johor Bahru seeks an experienced Data Center Operations Leader to oversee critical IT and asset management, build-outs, and scaling of the regional data center. You will manage daily operation maintenance, service delivery, and safety in alignment with business needs to support the department.

You will handle risk events and emergencies, coordinate with vendors and government bodies for compliance, and guide on-site teams through projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or computer science.
• 5+ years in large global data center site operation.
• Knowledge of data center mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Deep IT infrastructure knowledge: servers, storage, networks, IT service delivery.
• Willingness to travel 25-50% domestically and internationally.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center operations, maintenance, and service management.
• Respond to risk events and emergency fault handling.
• Coordinate with government departments for compliance and approvals.
• Provide on-site technical support and drive cross-team operation projects.
• Develop talent, training, risk control, and team culture for the on-site team.
• Manage outsourcing and vendor performance for datacenter services.
• Travel to regional Alibaba DCs as required to support operations.
