Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead on-site critical facilities operations in a data center environment in Johor, Malaysia. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure with oversight of outsourced vendors and coordination with the colocation operator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of O&M experience for electrical or HVAC in large-scale data centers.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and HVAC systems.
• Experience overseeing outsourced vendors in high-availability environments.
• Familiarity with BMS/EMS/CMMS/EPMS/DCIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency response for critical facilities systems.
• Ensure high system availability and SLA adherence.
• Develop and improve SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, maintenance plans and contingency procedures.
• Serve as on-site technical lead for troubleshooting and incident response.
• Oversee outsourced vendor teams to ensure safe execution and quality.
• Coordinate with colocation operators on maintenance windows and incidents.
• Identify and manage safety, fire protection, reliability, capacity, and energy efficiency risks.
• Analyze operational data to improve reliability and efficiency (PUE).
• Provide technical support for site changes and readiness activities.
