Job summary

Orsted Business Services in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Account Payable Specialist to ensure timely processing of global AP activities and maintain vendor account accuracy.

You will support reconciliations, direct debit monitoring, and drive continuous improvement within AP, collaborating with procurement, treasury and finance teams.

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position based in Kuala Lumpur with a focus on delivering accurate AP services for a global footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, finance or related field.
• Preferable experience in a global shared services centre, especially AP.
• Strong communication and English interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and logical approach to issues.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with accounting software (SAP) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic vendor statement reconciliations and investigate mismatches.
• Manage and monitor direct debit transactions, validation and reconciliation.
• Review aged AP items and liaise with vendors, procurement, treasury and finance teams.
• Validate credit notes against supporting docs and ensure proper posting.
• Serve as AP reconciliation contact while ensuring controls and policy compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance AP efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
