Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, finance, or a member of any professional bodies.
• Preferable some years of experience in a global shared services centre, specifically within accounts payable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Analytical and logical approach to issues and problem-solving.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient with accounting software (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic vendor statement reconciliations, investigating unmatched invoices, payments, credit notes, and account discrepancies, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Manage and monitor direct debit transactions, including validation, dispute handling, and reconciliation.
• Review aged and overdue AP items and liaise with vendors, procurement, treasury, business units, and finance teams to resolve outstanding issues.
• Validate credit notes against supporting documentation and ensure accurate application within the accounting records.
• Serve as a point of contact for AP reconciliation inquiries while ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within AP processes.
