Job summary

Coherent is seeking a diligent planner to manage demand fulfilment, inventory control and the weekly build plan at our Penang site in Seberang Perai. You will liaise with Inside Sales, schedule orders, and maintain planned orders in Oracle.

The role requires at least 2 years in product planning or scheduling, plus experience with Oracle/ERP/SAP/MRP tools. 100% onsite, with opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and ISO compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Admin / Economics / IE / Production Management or related discipline.
• Min 2 years in product planning/scheduling or similar capacity.
• Experience with Oracle/ERP/SAP/MRP tools.
• Computer software knowledges: Microsoft Windows.

Responsibilities

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for demand fulfilment, implementation and control, and inventory management.


• Responsible for Customer Delight – OTD, WIP & Finished Goods (FG) target, and Safety Stocks Allocation Plan.


• Liaising closely with Inside Sales providing status of Backlog. Schedule start and completion dates of orders in weekly build plan


• Follow up sales orders to closure until shipment is confirmed. Maintain planned orders in Oracle.


• Maintain planned orders in Oracle.


• Establish and maintain order priority.


• Track work order performance (yield/ output).


• Report and publish any exceptions immediately to superior.


• Implement EOL list and coordinate product conversions with engineering.


• Plan and execute RMA replacements, rework and purge parts


• Coordinate material shortages with buyers.


• Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.


• Derive Continual Improvement.


• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.


• Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc


• Ensuring compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Business Admin / Economics / IE / Production Management / related disciplines.


• Min 2 years in product planning/ scheduling or similar capacity. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc


• Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools.


• Computer software knowlegde etc : Microsoft Window.
