Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Engineering assistant to coordinate day-to-day Quality Engineering activities, support production-line audits and verify OQA tests and VMI failures.

This onsite role offers exposure to full quality systems and improvement projects within a global laser and photonics company. Candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, demonstrate strong teamwork, problem-solving, and a willingness to learn.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating day-to-day Quality Engineering activities.
• Assist in logistic of products between production areas.
• Support Quality Engineer in verifying OQA Test / VMI failure(s).
• Assist in routine production line audit for compliance.
• Perform data entry and ensure information is accurately recorded.
• Assist in documentation of quality records.
• Participate and engage in Quality Improvement projects.
• Engage in screening activities.
• Provide daily reports on completed / on-going tasks.
