Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead planning, procurement, materials management and logistics to ensure materials and services meet production and delivery needs.

You will translate demand into material plans, manage supplier selection and performance, and drive improvements in inventory accuracy and cost. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in supply chain, materials, procurement, or planning, including team leadership.
• Knowledge of ERP and planning systems, inventory management, and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, procurement, materials management, and logistics activities.
• Translate demand and production requirements into material and supply plans.
• Manage supplier selection, sourcing, negotiations, performance, and risk.
• Monitor material availability, shortages, inventory levels, and excess or obsolete stock.
• Work with Operations, Planning, Finance, and suppliers to resolve supply constraints and protect shipment commitments.
• Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, supplier delivery, purchasing cost, and supply chain efficiency.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics.
• Identify supply risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Ensure purchasing and materials processes comply with company policies and controls.
• Develop the supply chain team and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.

Summary

Lead supply chain activities to ensure materials and services are available to support production and customer delivery requirements. Balance supply, demand, inventory, cost, and supplier performance.
