Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead and manage the overall operations of our Proton automotive dealership in Seremban. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business performance, improving operational efficiency, developing the management team and ensuring the dealership achieves its sales, aftersales and customer satisfaction targets.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the overall dealership operations, including Sales, Aftersales, Service, Parts, Administration and Customer Relations.

Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability and operational targets.

Monitor monthly performance, budgets, expenses and key performance indicators.

Lead, coach and evaluate department managers and employees.

Ensure all departments work together effectively to achieve company objectives.

Improve vehicle sales, service intake, parts performance and customer retention.

Maintain high standards of customer service and promptly resolve escalated customer complaints.

Ensure compliance with Proton's policies, operating standards, audit requirements and corporate identity guidelines.

Maintain compliance with relevant legal, safety, employment and environmental requirements.

Review manpower requirements and support the recruitment, training and development of employees.

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, Marketing or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of working experience in the automotive industry.

At least 3 years of experience in a senior management or dealership management position.

Experience managing an automotive dealership, sales operation or aftersales operation is strongly preferred.

Proven ability to manage business performance, budgets, profitability and employees.

Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Customer-focused, hands-on and results-oriented.

Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Possess a valid driving licence.
