Responsible for leading and managing the company's overall operations in a strategic, efficient, and competitive manner in order to increase productivity, generate revenue, and ensure sustainable growth and returns for the company and its shareholders.
Develop and implement the company's strategic plan and business plan by translating strategy into clear and effective targets, KPIs, and action plans. Drive the achievement of revenue, profit, productivity, and company growth targets.
Ensure that overall estate operations are managed efficiently, productively, and sustainably, while strengthening yield and productivity improvements through effective agronomic practices and operational management. Ensure that planting, maintenance, fertilization, weed control, pest and disease control, harvesting, and produce transportation activities are carried out according to established standards.
Responsible for achieving the company's budget, cash flow, revenue, and profit targets, while ensuring every operation and project has sound commercial justification and delivers reasonable returns. Identify leakages, wastage, and opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
Ensure that the company's land, assets, equipment, and resources are utilized optimally, and put forward strategic proposals for underperforming assets or activities that fail to generate adequate returns.
Identify investment opportunities, new projects, strategic partnerships, leasing arrangements, joint ventures, and other business models based on commercial viability. Build strategic networks with government agencies, industry players, buyers, suppliers, investors, and business partners.
Ensure that every project is executed according to defined scope, cost, timeline, quality, and outcomes, while monitoring project performance and taking corrective action on projects that are delayed, over budget, or falling short of targets.
Foster a work culture that emphasizes integrity, ownership, discipline, problem-solving, and results delivery, while establishing KPIs to ensure clear accountability at every level of the organization.
Ensure company operations comply with laws, policies, SOPs, and Board of Directors' decisions, while identifying and managing operational, financial, asset, reputational, and business continuity risks.
Build professional and strategic relationships with shareholders, the Board of Directors, government agencies, communities, customers, suppliers, and strategic partners, while ensuring the interests of the company and shareholders are consistently protected.
Present performance updates, strategic issues, and recommended actions to the Board of Directors on a periodic basis.
At least ten (10) years of professional experience, with preference given to experience in the plantation, agriculture, agro-commodity, or related industry sectors
At least five (5) years of experience in a senior management or leadership position
Bachelor's degree in Plantation Management, Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Business, Finance, Economics or related field
Between 45 and 50 years old
